What makes a Children's Garden?
A Children's Garden is a special garden designed for children. These gardens are spaces where children can be free to discover the joys of gardening and participate in the gardening experience without fearing that they will love the plants to death. The gardens are designed to a child's height to encourage the children to interact with the garden but there are also clearly designed borders to the garden that convey the gardens boundaries. We use special soil mediums that are designed to accommodate enthusiastic gardeners and our ingenious Ole' Timey Levered Pump Well (as seen in our Garden Features). We also carefully choose plant specimens that can stand up to a child's hearty attention. We have created many garden themes to hold a child's interest; organic edible gardens, beautiful butterfly gardens, luxurious sensory gardens, and the ever useful herb garden.
What is a Child Friendly Landscape?
A Child Friendly Landscape is one that is designed with children in mind. A landscape that is designed with children in mind can be both fun and beautiful. With proper plant selection and interesting design features a back yard landscape can be a beautiful haven for your entire family as well as a creative natural play space. A child friendly landscape can encourage your child to explore their natural surroundings without destroying the beauty of your backyard environment. We can create for your child quiet niches and secret pathways, natural hidden gathering spaces, as well as room to run.
